Selena Gomez has been in the business for twenty years now, and after five albums and many singles, she has finally achieved her first-ever Billboard 100 number 1! Selena Gomez had been missing in action for the last four years, and her fans celebrated her comeback by awarding her first number one for her comeback track, Lose You To Love Me.

A number one track on Billboard 100 is not her only achievement with Lose You To Love Me, she is also currently number one in the Rolling Stone 100 chart, making her the first artist in the history to ever be number one on both the charts simultaneously!

Selena celebrated her triumph on Instagram saying, ‘My first number 1!! This song is so dear to my heart. I’ve been working so hard to make this album as honest and fun as possible while remaining vulnerable enough to share where I am in life.I love you deeply and thank you so much for listening. I want to thank each and every person that was apart of this moment that I’ll never forget!’

She also posted a picture on Instagram stories with her co-songwriters, Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter who have worked with her on this song and her previous 2015 hit, Good For You. The other co-writers of the #1 hit Lose You To Love Me are Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson.

Lose You To Love Me by Selena Gomez beat Lewis Capaldi (Someone You Loved), Post Malone (Circles), Senorita (Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello) and Lizzo (Truth Hurts) to reach number one on Billboard 100.

Talking about her yet to release album, the former Disney star added, ‘I think my new work is very different than some of the last singles and records I’ve put out, not in any way, different, it’s just, I’ve continuously grown up and so there’s different directions and I’m still figuring out sometimes kind of where I want to go, it’s always, never one way, but it’s exciting to try new things.
