Shah Rukh Khan’s Unbeatable Stardom


Shah Rukh Khan was born on 2nd November 1965, to Meer Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima. He has described himself as “half Hyderabadi (mother), half Pathan (father), and part Kashmiri (grandmother). He studied at St. Columba’s School where along with excelling at studies and sports, he also received the Sword of Honour – the highest award of the school. His passion for acting goes back to his childhood, from the time of his favourites; Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz.

He dropped out of college to pursue his acting career.

He acted in movies not because he had a creative desire, but because he was afraid of poverty and failure. Most of the films he signed were offered to him because they were discarded by the then A-listers and the producers had to settle for whoever was available.  These films rolled only because Shah Rukh Khan wanted to avoid unemployment. Khan The fate was on his side, and thus, the timing worked and created one of the biggest stars in Bollywood; the Shah Rukh Khan.


Following his dream was not the only path he followed, he did his work passionately and diligently which lead him to be one of the most renowned actors across the globe.

Blessed by Gauri’s parents, he married Gauri on October 25, 1991.  Even after 3 children, unlike other Bollywood celeb couples, this power couple has maintained a steady relationship that has only grown stronger for the past 27 years.
