In the fashion industry, one of the most exciting events is the Cannes film festival and the 2019 version is in full swing. Like I said before, the Cannes Red Carpet feels like it’s Met Gala’s sister! While A-listers from both Hollywood and Bollywood were present to shine on the carpet, there was our one favourite Mastani who stole the show!
Here is a complete lookbook of Deepika Padukone’s 6 Cannes Appearances:
Deepika Padukone looked like God’s gift descended on earth for her first Cannes 2019 look. She wore a white floor-length Peter Dundas gown with exaggerated pointed sleeves, a plunging neckline and a sweeping trail. What really stood out in her outfit was the oversized black bow in the front. This outfit was paired with Aquazzara’s strappy stilettos and Lorraine Schwartz’s jewellery; statement diamond earrings, a massive ring and chunky silver bracelets. Deepika Padukone did go as the ambassador for L’Oréal Paris which is why her makeup was on point! She lips looked deeply moody and her eyes were accentuated with kohl lines. She kept her glam on with lots of sparkling highlighter. She completed her look with her classic slicked back high ponytail.
For her second look, Deepika chose a stripped chic pantsuit. This Loewe creation featured a loose silhouette styled padded shouldered jacket with matching flared pants. Since the blazer bore black asymmetrical lapel detailing, she opted for long gold earrings by Misho designs. For a pop of contrast, Deepika went with bright neon orange pointy heels by Stuart Weitzman. With her hair styled in messy waves, our diva completed her look with Alexander Vauthier’s vintage looking rectangular sunglasses. To highlight her L’Oréal Paris collaboration, she opted for a trendy pink eyeliner and nude lips to complement the chic attire.
Deepika Padukone’s third look was definitely a quirky one. Off-White’s black tulle gown featured a fitted corset with a half neon green animal printed blouse. To give the dress additional volume, the dress was further attached to a gathered tulle skirt. Contrasting the previous look, this time around, Deepika chose neon green sunglasses and black chunky daddy sneakers to quirk up her attire. While her hair had a blow-dried look, she kept her makeup minimal with dark eyebrows to show that L’Oréal Paris can give you an everyday look too.
PHILOSOPHY DI LORENZO SERAFINI
The fourth look was not less than her previous ones. Deepika Padukone shined bright in Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s perfect mix of a feminine and chic outfit. Deepika wore a transparent full-sleeved lace shirt over her white bralette and her high-waisted linen pants with light mustard stripes all were rolled up just above her ankle. This outfit was paired with Jimmy Choo’s powder pink high heels and Marc Jacobs’ sunnies. Deepika accessorised her look with a thin belt that accentuated her slim waist and two pretty golden pendants. Her hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail to give her a very retro-chic vibe. To show off L’Oréal Paris’ amazing makeup line, she completed her look with brown eyeshadow, loads of mascara that gave her lengthy lashes enough volume, brownish nude lipstick and perfectly filled in brows.
Deepika Padukone’s fifth look was a black high neck breezy maxi dress. Her tiered and ruffled outfit featured heavy floral prints with a broad black high neck bow detail by Erdem. Her hair was once again styled in her classic sleek hair top knot while she went with black platform peep-toes for her feet. She kept it chic and stylish with L’Oréal Paris’ light metallic eyes and blush peach lips.
Everybody knows that the best comes out last, and so did Deepika. Her final look for Cannes 2019 was a bright neon green gown by Giambattisvalli. The Diva looked like a quirky doll as her gown featured ruffled tulle sleeves and a long trail of the skirt. Deepika seemed in a complete gift-mode as she came into and went out Cannes with her bow tale. Her dress was accessorised with a little satin bow around her neck and a matching headband around her forehead.
